Prawns with garlic butter and cherry tomatoes. Quick and easy!

This is a very simple recipe but is just delicious. Serve as a starter or part of a tapas dinner. Add a basket of crusty bread to the table and away we go!


50g/2oz butter

12 large raw prawns

12 cherry tomatoes

1tbsp olive oil

2 garlic cloves, crushed

Salt and pepper to season

Few leaves of Basil


1. In a wok or large pan heat the oil and the butter. Then add the prawns, cherry tomatoes and garlic.

2. Stir well until the prawns are pink (for approx. 4 to 5 mins) and until they are cooked through.

3. Season with salt and pepper (freshly ground) and serve. Scatter the basil leaves and serve.

As an alternative, use coriander instead of basil and a slice or two of lemon.
