Animals and Gardens

Set in over 160 acres of land, the Cotswold Wildlife Park has a huge collection of animals, many of them endangered species. The park is split up into four main sections. Each section has its own set of keepers that care for the animals in those areas.


The gardens at Cotswold Wildlife Park are stunning. They are carefully looked after by a creative team of gardeners who work hard to ensure every area of the Park looks amazing.


Education

The Cotswold Wildlife Park is a perfect place to bring education to life. If you want to make your trip to the Cotswold Wildlife Park educational, consider booking an educational talk with one of the park keepers. They will be able to tell you, your family, or your students everything they need to know about the park and caring for animals, etc.

Cotswold Wildlife Park Conservation Trust

In March 2013, the Cotswold Wildlife Park Conservation Trust was established. This trust was created to raise money to protect threatened environments and animal species.

Facilities at the Park

There are several facilities located within the Park or nearby including:


  • The Oak Tree Restaurant – this is located at the back of the Manor house. It serves a range of meals, cakes, snacks, sandwiches, and drinks. Most of the food is prepared in-house using local ingredients.

  • Refreshment kiosks – there are a couple of refreshment kiosks located within the park. One can be found opposite the Red Pandas and another can be found near the Camels. There is also a kiosk next to the gift shop, which sells ice creams, sweets, snacks, and milkshakes.

  • Picnics – visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic to the park. There are several spacious shelters and lawns around the park where you can enjoy your picnic.

  • Gift shop – the gift shop at Cotswold Wildlife Park sells a range of toys, gifts, and souvenirs.

  • Train – between the months of April and October, a train runs around the park.

  • Skymaze and Adventure Playground – there is more to do at Cotswold Wildlife Park than see animals. There is also an amazing adventure playground that your children will love.

  • Dogs – dogs are welcome at the park as long as they are kept on a lead.

  • Toilet facilities – there is a couple of toilet and baby changing facilities within the Park. You can also find toilets in the Manor House courtyard and in the restaurant.

Whether you are interested in learning about animals, or you like the idea of being a keeper for the day, the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens is a great place to visit. During your time at the park, you will get to see over 260 separate animal species. Not only that, but visitors can also walk with the lemurs, get up close and personal with a giraffe, and watch the rhinos graze in front of the Gothic Manor House. What more could you ask for?
